Installation:
We found that installing Registry Genius was just as easy as every other program of its kind - straightforward and hassle-free. We started the program after the installation process was complete.


Features:
The program uses a simplistic style of navigation, making going through its menus a breeze, as it's very easy to locate what you need. Registry Genius can scan and optimize your registry very well, though you'll have to perform the tasks manually every time - there is no scheduling system available for use. There's an option to manage your startup programs, allowing you to fully optimize your system for maximum performance.

You can easily backup your registry from the program as well, and restore it with a few clicks of the mouse later, if you encounter any problems. Though the lack of a scheduler has its effects here too - you'll have to keep in mind to make a backup every time before you perform a scan, as that can't be done manually.

The program also offers you the option to optimize your system's memory, for increased performance and stability of your computer.


Interface:
The menus are very simple and minimalistic, and provide you with just what you need to go through them with ease - though at times, we felt that they were lacking in functionality a bit. The program looks nice, using calm colours and a pleasant layout.

Scanning is higly customizable, offering a wide array of options and settings to choose from, even though you can always make use of just the basic functions and get good results from a simple scan.

There's an automatic update system, which always keeps the program up-to-date, and you can also perform checks for new versions manually through the options menu.

Ease of use:
The menus are properly organized, you have access to every option from the main screen, you don't need to constantly switch between countless windows. The grouping of the menu elements is nice and provides a smooth experience with the program, as even a novice user can make their way through the configuration options.


Safety:
The program's scanner performs well, as it found 1201 problems in our test system. Which is great in comparison with the other products we tested. In terms of speed, it worked relatively well, though it appeared to cause a lot of stress on the test machine during the scan, something which we didn't experience in other products.

Along with its registry-related security options, Registry Genius offers you its own uninstall manager, that allows you to remove any malicious (or not) applications with ease. The program can also completely erase your Internet Explorer's history, clearing all the traces of your recent surfing

To add to its internet-related security, Registry Genius blocks malicious Active-X programs, with the ability to list all of them on your computer. It can also completely prevent the execution of any Active-X components with unpredictable behaviour.


Helpdesk/support:
The program comes with comprehensive documentation, and very responsive and cooperative online support services, we don't have anything particular to comment here.


Conslusion:
Registry Genius is a good value for its money, and it's the best choice for you, if you're looking for a very straightforward program to maintain your registry, and don't want any complex menus and options.
